COMMEMORATIVE GARDEN
Harry Meyering Center wants to create a garden, a space to honor and remember the incredible
stories of immense challenges and ultimate successes of the
consumers who have died. And for the people who currently live
at the Meyering Center, the garden will offer a quiet space to
enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of the outdoors. It will
also offer an opportunity to care for plants, bushes, flowers,
birdfeeders, and bird baths. The garden will enhance the large
open space enjoyed by our neighbors.
You can help
us see this dream to reality.
-$25 will buy
a birdfeeder -$150 will pay for an inscribed paver with the name of a consumer
who has passed away -$100 will buy a bush to attract butterflies and flowers offering
a variety of colors and fragrances -$200 will put in an herb garden, the smells of which will be
especially appreciated by our consumers who are deaf and blind
-$250 will plant a tree for shade in the area -$1000 will provide a fountain
You can help
in any amount to help acquire any of the items listed above and
with the repairs needed to the gazebo, a concrete pathway to the
site for the ease of those using wheelchairs and walkers,
benches, or trenching needed for electrical hook-ups and
underground soaker hoses.
This is a huge project…
