Janice and staff Rebecca took off from frozen Minnesota and
headed to balmy Fort Lauderdale, Florida on the 18th of
December. Janice especially enjoyed the ocean running
across her feet and feeling the warm sand with her hands.
Janice spent a lot of time relaxing at the pool and sitting in
the sun. She also enjoyed a day trip to the Flamingo Gardens,
where she walked along paths that had fragrant beautiful flowers
growing. Janice also received a massage and facial, which she
really seemed to enjoy. Janice seemed to love experiencing
five days shopping, walking in the sand, and sitting under the
sun in the Sunshine State of Florida! |

Mary Kay's trip! On December 15th (early in
the morning, staff picked me up at 1:30 a.m.!), I escaped the
Minnesota cold and made my way to Miami, Florida. From
where we boarded a cruise ship through the Caribbean. I
enjoyed shows on the boat, relaxation, and sitting in the hot
tub. I even lathered up with sunscreen so I wouldn't get
burned and enjoyed the ocean! We did a lot of shopping and
ate on the boat. This was my first trip on a cruise ship
and I really enjoyed it! I even won $19.25 gambling while
on the ship! It was great to get away from work and enjoy
some warm weather for a week! I left in a snowstorm...and
returned in the midst of another one! Really makes me look
forward to another vacation in the future! This was my
second vacation with LEEP this year. I enjoyed a trip to
Las Vegas in August too! |

2009 ARRM DAY AT THE CAPITOL
On February
12, 2007 ten HMC staff and seven individuals served attended
ARRM Day at the Capitol. We attended the ARRM rally in the
Capitol Rotunda and then visited with Representatives Morrow and
Brynaert as well as Senator Sheran.
While all
legislators warned us of upcoming state budget cuts, consumer
and staff issues did receive positive responses. Information was
left at the office of Representative Cornish as we were unable
to meet with him personally.
Those
