Adam Menden selected as one
of eleven
Capitol Internship Fellows for the
2010 legislative session |
|
|
|
|
The Capitol Fellowship Program is an honorary internship program
for persons with disabilities. The purpose of the program is to
engage the Minnesota Senate in providing persons with
disabilities an opportunity to demonstrate their capacity to
participate in work performed in the Minnesota Legislature and
at the State Capitol. In addition, the program seeks to mentor
participants on careers of the future and provide honor and
recognition to those in the disability community that have
demonstrated commitment to work and exemplary performance on the
job.
As a selected participant or “Fellow,” Adam
will work one day a week at the State Capitol with Senator Kathy
Sheran. He will work on prepared projects, attend senate
meetings of interest and participate in group projects with the
other Fellows.
If you would like to follow Adam on his
adventure, look for his blog spots at
www.MNWorks4you.org. There will be a link on the home page.
The Capitol Fellowship Program is sponsored
by MN Works! a state-wide initiative to assist people with
disabilities in obtaining meaningful employment.
