Rick is a native Minnesotan having grown up in a small town near Redwood Falls. He came to Mankato for college, got a job at Harry Meyering and never left! He has been working here since 1989 in various positions and currently he is the Physical Plant Manager. He enjoys the challenges and the ability to get out and meet many of the clients. Rick asked one client, “how long have we known each other?” and her answer was “A long time!”.

Rick has training in business administration, finance and accounting. He has knowledge of remodeling and code compliance from owning and remodeling his home and apartments. He also has had the opportunity to work with the various city and state inspectors in Harry Meyering code compliance. Rick has been able to take what he learned doing direct care and apply that to the day to day workings and challenges of the Harry Meyering maintenance department.

Rick lives in North Mankato with his wife, dogs, cat and fish. When not working, he enjoys spending time with kids and 7 grandkids, going to garage sales and going to auctions. He and his wife are also volunteers for Minnesota Sheltie Rescue.
